About us

We are Dutch Flow Control

Dutch Flow Control delivers high-quality solutions for flow control and water filtration. DFC is a collaboration between three leading Dutch manufacturers and combines innovative engineering with reliable craftsmanship to deliver durable and purpose-built products.

We are not a generic supplier picking standard products off the shelf. Dutch Flow Control is a manufacturing company with its own engineers and its own production facility where we design, build and deliver systems for flow control and water filtration. That distinction is felt by our customers in every project: we think along with you substantively, we understand the processes our products are applied to and we are able to deliver custom solutions without the lead times and costs of large engineering projects. Our experience goes back to 1993 and over those decades we have built up a broad and deep body of knowledge that we apply every day for the customers who rely on us.

What we do

Flow Control

Our range of water management products runs from penstocks and sluice gates to flap valves, tilting weirs and stoplogs. Each of these products fulfils a specific role in regulating and guiding water flows and together they form a complete package for anyone who manages water flows and wants to keep them manageable. We specialise in both standard and custom-built solutions, designed and manufactured in HDPE, 316 stainless steel or duplex materials to guarantee durability in applications involving both clean and dirty water.

Water that is not properly managed causes damage to infrastructure, loss of valuable process water and unwanted conditions in the surrounding environment. With the right components, water management becomes predictable and reliable. Our products are used in municipal water infrastructure and sewer systems, in industrial process installations, in irrigation systems and in engineered waterways in public and agricultural environments.

As water systems become more complex, clients place ever higher demands on the components installed within them. Automation, sustainable material use and long maintenance intervals are no longer a luxury but a basic requirement. Dutch Flow Control responds to this with products built for the long term and designed to integrate seamlessly with modern control and monitoring infrastructure.

Self-Cleaning Water Filtration

Our water filtration solutions are available as standardised machines but also as fully custom-designed filtration systems and in both cases they are self-cleaning. That self-cleaning character is not incidental but a deliberate choice: systems that clean themselves operate continuously, require no manual intervention and produce no waste stream of consumable materials. They are therefore more economical, more reliable and more environmentally responsible than conventional filter solutions.

Our filtration portfolio covers a range from self-cleaning 3 mm down to 3 micron. Single systems such as the parabolic screen bend, the rotary drum filter, the ACF coarse filter, the SCF filter, the HL-SCF filter and the MFF Microfilter are suited to applications where a single filtration step is sufficient. For more demanding processes we combine multiple self-cleaning techniques in an integrated machine that is delivered as a turnkey system. That can be in a fixed installation but also as a mobile unit or as a complete system built into a standard shipping container.

Our filtration systems are used in industrial process environments, cooling water circuits, wastewater treatment, drinking water purification and in mobile applications such as emergency drinking water machines for humanitarian deployment. In all those environments reliability is crucial: the systems must work when it matters, without needing a technician on hand.

Who we are

A Collaboration of Dutch Manufacturers

Dutch Flow Control is a collaboration between three leading Dutch manufacturers. That structure gives us something most suppliers cannot offer: the depth of specialised manufacturing companies combined with the breadth of a complete package for water management and water filtration. Each of the three collaborating companies has its own expertise and production facilities and together they ensure that every product is built by people who know what they are doing.

Innovative engineering and reliable craftsmanship are the two pillars on which Dutch Flow Control is built. Engineering without craftsmanship produces fine drawings but no products that stand the test of time. Craftsmanship without engineering produces solid products but no solutions that keep pace with changing demands. We combine both and that is reflected in the quality and service life of what we deliver.

Sustainability is not a marketing term for us. It is in the choice of materials: HDPE, 316 stainless steel and duplex are known for their corrosion resistance and long service life in wet and aggressive environments. It is in the design: self-cleaning systems that require no consumable materials and no chemical cleaning agents. And it is in the way we work: custom solutions that fit the application precisely and that are no more than what is needed.

How we work

From Advice to Delivery

Every project starts with a conversation. We want to understand what you are trying to achieve, what conditions you are dealing with and what you require in terms of service life, maintenance and system integration. On the basis of that conversation we advise which solution fits best and work it out into a configuration that is ready for production.

Because we keep engineering and production in house the line between drawing board and production floor is short. Changes are implemented quickly and quality control rests with the same people who designed the system. After delivery we remain available for technical questions and support, because a system that is properly maintained performs better and lasts longer.

We work for a wide range of clients: municipalities and water authorities, industrial process companies, contractors and installation firms, engineering offices and international aid organisations. What all those customers have in common is that they are looking for a supplier who understands what is needed and delivers what was agreed. That is what we do, since 1993.
